Airfield Volunteer Fire Service Recycling Page
The AVFS primarily provides fire protection and first aid services to The Shuttleworth Collection near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, we also provide event fire cover ranging through firework displays and carnivals to large events with many thousands of visitors and overnight campers. We can also provide first aid cover and fire extinguisher hire for events.
Airfield Safety is encouraged by the provision of CAA Lower Category firefighter training courses. Personal fire safety and fire safety in a commercial environment is developed by the provision of bespoke 'Fire Safety' courses.
As our name suggests we are all volunteers, our members come from diverse backgrounds which brings with it a wide range of skill sets we can call upon.
The AVFS is a registered charity and is self funded; we currently receive no regular sponsorship or funding from other agencies or organisations.
In partnership with EmptyCartridge Ltd a leading recycling company, we have developed a scheme to turn your empty inkjet and toner cartridges into valuable funds to help continue our work.
If you would like to help us raise funds for Airfield Volunteer Fire Service whilst at the same time reducing the amount of electronic waste consigned to landfill

If you are looking to recycle in larger volumes i.e. quantities of 50 or more inkjet cartridges, you must ensure that you check the lists above to ensure that what you are sending in is accepted on the scheme.
